Skipping the input and output

Breaking the linear order
Stations drawn out of order make the arrows cross and the flow hard to follow. Keep the sequence strictly left to right.
Mixing stations with zones
A floor zone is a location; a station is a step in the process. Don't draw a floor plan when the reader needs a sequence — keep the two views separate.
No arrow direction
Without arrows the reader cannot tell which way work moves. Point every arrow at the next station so the direction is unambiguous.
Overcrowding one station
Cramming too many operations into a single station hides the real bottleneck. Split it into two stations and re-check the input/output handoff.
