Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. Introduction

CodePic is a browser-based infinite canvas tool for creating hand-drawn style flowcharts, wireframes, and diagrams. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

  • Account information — When you sign in via GitHub or Google OAuth, we receive your email address and profile avatar. We do not store your password.
  • Documents — The diagrams and flowcharts you create are stored on our servers so you can access them across devices. Document data is associated with your account.
  • Local drafts — If you use CodePic without signing in, your work is saved locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not have access to local drafts until you choose to save them to your account.
  • Usage analytics — We collect anonymous usage data (e.g., feature usage, page views) to improve the product. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the core drawing and diagramming service
  • To save and sync your documents across devices
  • To enable sharing documents via public links
  • To improve CodePic through anonymous usage analytics
  • To communicate important service updates

4. Data Storage & Security

Your document data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. We use OAuth 2.0 (PKCE flow) for authentication, which means we never handle or store your third-party passwords.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. Your documents are private by default. When you explicitly share a document via a public link, only the content of that document becomes accessible to anyone with the link.

6. Your Rights

  • Access & export — You can export your documents as PNG, SVG, or JSON at any time.
  • Deletion — You can delete individual documents from your dashboard. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us.
  • Portability — Your document data is stored in an open JSON format and can be exported freely.

7. Cookies

CodePic uses essential cookies for authentication sessions. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Anonymous analytics use no cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of CodePic after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
